Edinburgh TUC is convening a Zoom meeting which will be attended by Councillor Ricky Henderson who is chair of the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (EIJB). The EIJB is responsible for the provision of Social Care in Edinburgh. In 2022 it is going to consult with the public on the future of the four Care Homes in Edinburgh and the future of the Social Care Service in Edinburgh. The Zoom meeting will be held on Thursday 20th January 2022 at 6.30pm. It will finish at 8pm. The meeting will be chaired by Carmen Simon, Vice Chair of Edinburgh TUC, who is a social care worker. The meeting will be introduced by representatives of local authority trade unions and myself as Secretary of Edinburgh TUC. Councillor Henderson will then respond to the issues that were raised in the introductions.
